Still/Moving Istanbul exhibition focuses on everyday life in Istanbul through the eyes of Bahceşehir University Faculty of Communication, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design and Film and TV Departments’ students. The young designers and filmmakers interpret Istanbul that they live in by holding on to cinematic language or pictogram characteristics such as simplification and unity.

The still and moving natives of Istanbul are swept away by the flood, stuck on the bus, fall into a hole, make music, dispose a bomb, make films, beg, sweat in a Turkish Bath, sleep on a bench, protest, jump off the ferry or Bosphorus Bridge, fly with the minibus, look at the angels of Hagia Sophia, climb hills, be in love, get confused, …

Student Exhibition from Bahceşehir University Faculty of Communication may be seen weekdays on 10.30 – 17.00 and Sundays on 12.00 – 16.00 at Schneidertempel Art Center through 4-27th of June 2010. The center is closed on Saturdays.
